The performance “Island of Summer”  begins as a story of a little girl, her grandmother and ever busy dad, who spend their vacations on a small island, but continues as an adventure for children in the game world and a trip for adults to their childhood, when everything was governed by lightness and pure joy. The performance is an exciting, imaginative and creative way of perceiving the world.

“Island of Summer” is an unusual object theatre performance for adults and children, which was nominated in the 2009/2010 annual “Spelmanu Nakts” theatre awards ceremony as the best performance for children.”Island of Summer” is created by directors Mārtiņš Eihe and Krista Burāne, artist Kristīne Vītola and actress Juta Vanaga.
