“No-Mad-I” in Liepaja, from 24th of May, 2010 – 01th of June 2010.
The International theater festival for children and youth “No-Mad-I” is a place, where different generations can meet and create common thoughts for discussions that are important for everyone irrespective of one’s age.
The main aim of the festival is to promote children and youth theater as an important part of culture and to show the role of theater within communication process among different generations.
Objectives of the festival:
1. to promote understanding of theater among children and youth as an active and creative art process, where spectators play an important part in the creation process.
2. to promote understanding of theater for children and youth among adults as an important and integral part of culture, that promotes cooperation and common understanding.
3. to promote interest and involvement of professionals in the theater field for children and youth in order to create qualitative and modern theater performances.
Festival will continue for 9 days:
6 days – theater performances, roundtable discussions and workshops for children and youth;
3 days – workshops for theater professionals (after the festival, 31st of May – 2st of June)
Theater performances for children, youth, parents and teachers and all other the interested ones will be shown from different theater companies from: Denmark, Norway, The Netherlands, Lithuania and Latvia.
